1. What is a 'starter set'?

A

The set includes 11 special coins needed to purchase sake and food at the venue and an official event sake glass into which the sake is poured.

2.How many sake and food can I buy with the 11 coins in the starter set?

A

The sake on display will vary from 2 to 19 coins per glass, depending on the price of the item, but we expect that on average you will enjoy 2~3 glasses (60 ml/glass). The number of coins for each dish also varies, so please refer to the menus for reference.

3.I want to know the brewery lineup.

A

We’ll be unveiling the lineup of sake breweries and the event schedule on the official CRAFT SAKE WEEK website soon.

About Coming to the Event

Is there parking available?

A

Hourly parking is available in the vicinity of Roppongi Hills. However, the number of parking spaces is limited, so please use public transportation if at all possible. *Please refrain from coming by car if you are going to enjoy sake at the event.

Is there an entrance fee?

A

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. However, there is a charge for food and drink. For more information, see ‘Sake and Food Purchases & Official Event Sake Glass’.

Is the venue for CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2024 at Roppongi Hills indoors?

A

The venue, Roppongi Hills Arena, is an outdoor entertainment space located in the center of Roppongi Hills. It is roofed, so light rain is not a problem, but please note that the roof may be opened for safety reasons in case of heavy rain and wind.

Will the event be cancelled if it rains?

A

The event will take place rain or shine, but will be cancelled if the safety of the venue cannot be assured due to inclement weather. In the unlikely event of cancellation, an announcement will be made on our official website and social media.

Can I reserve a seat?

A

Yes, tickets available for purchase online now.

Can I bring food and drink into the venue?

A

Please refrain from bringing in food and beverages purchased outside the venue. Bottled water is available for purchase near the electronic billboard of the TV asahi building. Please refrain from bringing any drinks in plastic bottles, cans, etc. into the venue.

Are there any entry restrictions?

A

There is no admission limit, but depending on the day of the week and time of day, it may take some time to secure a seat. In addition, the quantity of starter sets as well as the sake and food served at the event are limited. Please note that they may sell out. Pre-purchasing a starter set online will ensure you can purchase sake and food relatively smoothly at the event.

Can I bring my children?

A

Children are welcome at the venue. Water and soft drinks are available at the venue. A day-care center in the Mori Building (open 11:00-19:00) is also available for a fee.

Are pets allowed?

A

Pets are not allowed in the food and beverage areas for hygiene reasons. Disabled guests with assistance dogs may use the tables near the Mori Garden.

Are wheelchairs and pushchairs allowed?

A

Wheelchairs and pushchairs are allowed, but as there will be tables and minor bumps, we recommend using the dedicated spaces located throughout Roppongi Hills rather than the Arena area, which is expected to be crowded.

Are drinks other than sake available?

A

Non-alcoholic drinks such as water, Japanese tea and health drinks (Kanzo Kowa) are available at the venue for a fee.

I don't drink alcohol, can I just have the food?

A

Guests that only wish to enjoy the food are welcome. No drinking vessels are required, so you only need to purchase extra coins instead of the starter set.

Can I pre-purchase a starter set?

A

Yes. We highly recommend pre-purchasing a starter set, as you may be refused entry if they have sold out on the day of the event.

If I pre-purchase a starter set, is there a specific date I have to use it?

A

No date is specified. After pre-purchasing your starter set, please exchange your receipt for a starter set at the ‘Coin Sales Booth’ at the venue on the date of your desired visit. Please be assured that even if the starter sets are sold out on the day of your visit, all pre-purchased sets will be kept at the ‘Coin Sales Booth’ until claimed.

Can I get a refund for a starter set I have purchased?

A

We do not offer refunds on purchased starter sets.

I haven't pre-purchased the starter set. Can I participate if I go directly to the venue on the day of the event?

A

Of course you can. Please purchase coins on the day at the ‘Coin Sales Booth’ at the venue. In addition to cash, credit cards and various e-money options are also accepted. Please note that the starter sets are limited in number and may sell out.

Can I pre-purchase additional coins?

A

A starter set combined with additional coins is available for pre-purchase.

I need a receipt, can you issue one?

A

Receipts can be issued. Please ask the staff at the ‘Coin Sales Booth’.

Sake and Food Purchases & Official Event Sake Glass

Can I buy sake and food with cash?

A

Cash cannot be used to purchase food and beverages – cash can be used to purchase items sold in the NIHONMONO STORE booth, but all other items in the venue are only sold in exchange for special coins.

Can I use credit cards or electronic money to purchase additional coins?

A

Yes, cash, credit cards and e-money are accepted. You can purchase extra coins at the ‘Coin Sales Booth’ and from sales staff circulating around venue.

Can I get a refund for extra coins?

A

Extra coins cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.

Can I use my extra coins next year?

A

The coins you have purchased are only valid for this event. Please try to use them up during the event.

Can I use official sake glasses purchased at previous CRAFT SAKE WEEK (CSW) events again this year?

A

No. Sake glasses and coins from previous CSWs are not accepted; please purchase a starter set in order to get the sake glass used exclusively at CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2024.

Are the official CSW-exclusive sake glasses available on a deposit basis?

A

No, but official event sake glasses can be purchased and re-used during CRAFT SAKE WEEK 2024 (Apr 18th~29th), so please take them home with you and bring them back for use on your second and subsequent visits. You only need to purchase additional coins to enjoy the event.

Can I bring and use my own sake glass?

A

No. You cannot use any vessels other than the event’s official sake glasses. Please purchase a starter set.

How can I wash/rinse out my my sake glass at the event?

A

Please use the two ‘hand washing stations’ located at the venue.

Do I have to buy one sake glass per person for use at the event?

A

As a rule, please buy one official sake glass per person. Please also refrain from sharing glasses or passing drinks around for health and hygiene reasons.

I have broken my event sake glass. Can I get a refund or replacement?

A

Please note that no refunds or exchanges will be made for damaged or lost event sake glasses.

The lineup of our sake brewery and our schedule for upcoming events will be announced sequentially on the official website of CRAFT SAKE WEEK. We also disseminate information on social media, so please do follow us there.

About the Venue

Where are the restrooms located?

A

Restrooms in the Mori Building near the Roppongi Hills Arena are available. Please check the venue map or ask the nearest staff member.

Are there any smoking areas?

A

Smoking is not permitted in the food and drink areas. Please use the designated smoking areas at Roppongi Hills and refrain from smoking while walking on the premises or outside the designated areas.

What should I do if I feel unwell?

A

Please go to the ‘First Aid Tent’ at the venue. It is located near the entrance on the Keyakizaka side of the venue.

Is there any childcare service on site?

A

For a fee, a day-care centre is available in the Mori Building. (Opening hours: 11:00-19:00)

What is the seating capacity of the venue?

A

The venue has low tables for seating and high tables for standing. Please use the tables in a friendly and considerate manner.

What should I do if I have any questions or problems?

A

Please go to the ‘Management Headquarters’ at the venue. It is located near the entrance on the Keyakizaka side of the venue

Until what time are sake and food served?

A

Last orders are taken at 20:30. Please note, however, that in some cases, such as when the restaurant is sold out, the service may be finished before last orders.

What measures are being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

  • – Please refrain from attending the event if you have a fever of 37.5°C or higher or if you are not feeling well.

  • – Please sanitise your hands when entering the venue.

  • – The wearing of masks in the venue is at the discretion of the individual.


<Preventative Measure at the Venue>



  • – Event management staff and personnle are required to check their temperature at home every day before coming to work, follow COVID-19 protocols, and take good care of their health.

  • – Staff will sanitise the food and beverage tables.

  • – Staff will sanitise areas of the venue that come into frequent contact with the public (e.g. hand basins, counters, tables, etc…).

  • – When handling money and other items, coin trays will be used as much as possible to avoid direct contact with the customer’s hands.
